Bureau of Animal Protection Seeking New Program Manager

The Colorado Department of Agriculture (CDA) is seeking a new program manager to lead the Bureau of Animal Protection (BAP), which is dedicated to addressing the neglect, mistreatment, and abuse of animals in Colorado. The Department is searching to hire a replacement as current Program Manager, Dr. Rebecca Niemiec, transitions to a new role with Colorado State University. 

Scholarships, Equipment, Policy Training Among Projects Funded Through CDA’s New NextGen Leadership Program Grants

The Colorado Department of Agriculture (CDA) is committed to expanding access to learning and leadership opportunities for future generations in agriculture. In the fall of 2022, CDA announced the brand new NextGen Ag Leadership Program offering small grants to organizations advancing youth education and leadership in agriculture.  Through that new program, CDA awarded $186,820 to 13 organizations across the state as part of the NextGen Ag Leadership Program.

Quiche is known as a traditional and classic dish of French cuisine, though historical records indicate that quiche actually originated in Germany during the Middle Ages in the medieval kingdom of Lothringen, which the French later occupied and renamed Lorraine. The word ‘quiche’ comes from the German ‘Kuchen,’ meaning cake. Regardless of its origins, we can all agree that quiche offers endless possibilities for including a variety of proteins, vegetables, and seasonings.
