Division of Animal Welfare

The Division of Animal Welfare works to support the welfare of companion animals and livestock in Colorado. It was created through House Bill 24-1458 to house two existing CDA programs: the Bureau of Animal Protection (BAP) and the Pet Animal Care and Facilities Act (PACFA) Program. The bill also created a new equine welfare grant program to be established in the Division.
