The Agricultural Drought and Climate Resilience Office operates multiple renewable energy and energy efficiency programs that are designed to fund agricultural producers’ and processors’ efforts to cut energy costs and make their businesses more sustainable. Our farmers and ranchers often operate within very small profit margins, lowering energy inputs can have a massive impact on business resilience and profitability. These programs also aim to decrease the financial burden on the agricultural community as they find innovative ways to practice climate smart agricultural production.
