Broomfield, Colo. - A number of Colorado Conservation Districts have been awarded funds for Coronavirus Relief Funding (CVRF) through the Colorado Department of Local Affairs (DOLA).
As part of the federal CARES Act outlined under Title V, CVRF allows local governments and special districts to receive reimbursements for necessary expenditures that were not accounted for in the most recent local government budget and that were incurred as of March 1st to respond to and prepare for the COVID-19 public health emergency.
Applicants are required to supply affirmations of spending, reporting, monitoring, and other federal situations. The following Conservation Districts were allocated a total of $127,813:
The collaborative efforts of the Colorado Department of Agriculture and DOLA helped lead to the significant awards. The funds are vital to the limited options that Conservation Districts have for operations. To ensure conservation efforts and continued customer service to their local producers, Conservation Districts have adjusted quickly and efficiently during this pandemic. These funds will ensure the continued success of the Districts and their employees, as they respond to and prepare for COVID-19.
