CDA Applauds Rural and Agricultural Investments Proposed in the Colorado Recovery Plan

The Colorado Department of Agriculture is excited to work with the Governor’s Office and legislative leaders from both parties to pass and implement the Colorado Recovery Plan. 

The plan invests heavily in our rural and agricultural communities to ensure they build back quicker and stronger from the devastating impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic. Among the many important investments, the recovery plan calls for one-time funding that includes:

Broomfield, Colo. - Colorado Commissioner of Agriculture Kate Greenberg provided the following statement following the passage of the new federal omnibus spending bill:

“The prioritization of agriculture, food security and rural communities in the new federal government stimulus package underscores how essential agriculture is to Colorado and the nation,” said Kate Greenberg, Colorado Commissioner of Agriculture.

2020 Reimagined State Fair Kicks Off with Free Virtual Events and Fair Food Drive-Thru

The 148th Annual Colorado State Fair officially opens Friday, August 28, 2020 with a wealth of new, virtual event offerings and a first-ever Drive-Thru Fair Food event.

In consideration of the ongoing COVID-19 public health crisis, the Colorado State Fair Board of Authority voted early this summer to modify activities during the 2020 State Fair, with a priority and focus on supporting Colorado’s 4-H and FFA youth.
