The Colorado Department of Agriculture (CDA) has issued a Request for Information (RFI) to identify additional qualified Financial Entities to expand opportunities within the Colorado Agricultural Future Loan Program. The expansion will help meet unprecedented demand for the program, which provides financing to a diverse range of Colorado's agricultural community.

Colorado Agricultural Future Loan program logoCDA is seeking lending partners—including banks, nondeposit Community Development Financial Institutions (CDFIs), and business development corporations with agricultural lending experience—who are interested in administering the successful loan program. The program is a critical resource for Colorado farmers, ranchers, food processors, and ag tech companies. It’s also a critical lifeline to securing capital for new operators (those with fewer than 10 years of experience) and those from underserved or underrepresented populations in agriculture.

“The overwhelming demand, with over 100 qualified applicants currently on a waitlist, is a testament to the life-changing impact the Colorado Agricultural Future Loan Program has on those who may not meet traditional commercial bank requirements,” said Brian Coppom, Ag Future Loan Program manager. “We are eager to partner with additional qualified lenders to expand this vital resource and ensure every qualified operation in Colorado has access to the capital they need to grow.”

Interested Financial Entities should submit a response through the state's Vendor Self Service portal by the deadline. To submit a response: go to the Vendor Self Service portal, select "View Published Solicitations," and search using the keyword "Ag Future Loan."

The Response Submission Deadline is March 2, 2026, at 10:00 AM MST. Responses can only be submitted through the Colorado VSS portal, but more information about the Ag Future Loan Program can be found at ColoradoAgLoans.com.
