Lady A Postpones 2022 Tour, Including Colorado State Fair Appearance

Country music trio Lady A has announced a postponement of their North American tour and with it the performance at the 150th Colorado State Fair in Pueblo. The performance, originally scheduled for Friday, September 2, 2022, will be postponed until next year. The rescheduled date is Friday, September 1, 2023. 

Current ticket holders have the option of keeping their tickets for the 2023 show or can receive a full refund if requested by November 30, 2022. Refunds are available at point of purchase.  

Coloradans Encouraged to Submit Their Creations for the 150th Colorado State Fair By Friday

Along with exciting concerts, livestock competitions, rodeos, and annual fair fun, the 150th Colorado State Fair is scheduled to host 20 general entry and fine arts contests for both adults and children. From fine art to farm and garden contests, the State Fair showcases talent from some of the finest artists, artisans, bakers, and gardeners across Colorado.

Multi-Platinum Rockers Stone Temple Pilots, Lou Gramm Original Lead Singer of Foreigner with special guest Berlin, T.I., and Los Tucanes de Tijuana Slated To Perform

The Colorado State Fair announced a new round of performers who will help the state celebrate the 150th Fair. Stone Temple Pilots (sponsored by the Colorado Lottery), Lou Gramm (original lead singer of Foreigner) with special guest Berlin, T.I., and Celebración de los Charros with Los Tucanes de Tijuana presented by Mercado Motors have all joined the lineup of musical acts.

Poultry Shows a No-Go At 2022 Colorado State Fair

Upon guidance from the Colorado State Veterinarian, the Colorado State Fair Board Authority has made the determination to cancel any poultry shows during the 2022 fair. This precautionary measure is being taken as highly pathogenic avian influenza continues to affect domestic poultry across the nation. The Board approved the cancellation during their regular Board meeting on Wednesday, May 25, 2022.

Colorado State Fair Generates $55.5M in Economic Impact in 2021

The Colorado State Fair Authority released a new economic impact report detailing specifics of the fair’s contributions to Pueblo’s economy. In 2021, the 11 days of the State Fair generated $43.7 million in total output which supported 506 total jobs and $14.9 million in total earnings in Pueblo County. In addition, non-fair activity in 2021 generated $11.8 million in total output which supported 106 total jobs and $4.3 million in total earnings in the County. 

The Pork Chop Lady/Sam’s Street Tacos Wins Golden Ticket Entry Into 2022 Governor’s Plate Competition

 As a part of Celebrate Colorado weekend, the Colorado State Fair and Colorado Lottery partnered with The Food Truck Union for a food truck competition at Mineral Palace Park in Pueblo this past Friday. To kick off this year’s Governor’s Plate competition, community members had the opportunity to vote for their favorite offering from several local food trucks. The winner, The Pork Chop Lady/Sam’s Street Tacos, received a Golden Ticket offering a direct entry into this year’s Governor’s Plate competition.
