Governor’s 2021 Proposed State Budget Includes Major Investments in Rural Colorado

Broomfield, Colo. - Rural Colorado will benefit in a number of significant areas from the Governor’s proposed Colorado State Budget as it drives economic recovery and stimulus. Initiatives in the budget will protect funding for high priority programs and services in rural communities, and support the implementation of a cohesive economic development plan for rural Colorado.

Hemp Pilot Program Extension Benefits Colorado Industrial Hemp Producers

Broomfield, Colo. - The recent passage of a Continuing Resolution to fund the federal government through December 11th contained a provision to extend the industrial hemp pilot program authorized in the 2014 Farm Bill. As a result, the Colorado Department of Agriculture's Industrial Hemp Program, and the state’s industrial hemp producers, will continue operations under current rules until September 30, 2021.
