Report an SLF sighting

Spotted Lanternfly infestation on a tree

If you find a spotted lanternfly or a suspicious looking egg mass in a location where it is not known to exist, you should try to collect it and put it into a container filled with alcohol (rubbing alcohol, hand sanitizer, etc.) to kill and preserve it. If you are unable to capture the insect, take a picture of it.

Report your sighting to the Colorado Department of Agriculture or your county’s CSU Extension office.

So far, no sightings have been confirmed as the SLF in Colorado, but we encourage Coloradans to be vigilant about this invasive pest.
