As a significant portion of the agricultural population approaches retirement, it is crucial for Colorado to continue cultivating a strong network of leaders who can drive the state’s agricultural future. Experience in food production, stewardship, and emerging technology; knowledge of the agriculture sector; leadership skills and practical experience can help set up young people for success.
CDA is committed to enhancing access to internships, apprenticeships, scholarships, and direct leadership training to help reduce barriers to those interested in pursuing a career in agriculture, no matter their starting place.
CDA aims to assist in professional development over the next three years through efforts from our Ag Workforce Development Program and NextGen Ag Leadership Program, and developing new programs.
