Colorado is famous for our juicy peaches, nutritious beef, nourishing potatoes, and many other agricultural products that can fill a plate any time of year.
Agriculture and politics have something in common. When they’re working right, they’re flying under the radar. When there are bumps in the road, everyone is very aware of just how much they impact our daily lives.
In rural areas, the lines blur even more often between the two as producers are used to doing what needs to be done - whether that’s on their operations or in their community.
The Colorado Department of Agriculture announced a search to fill new regionally based positions that will serve as a liaison between the Department and agricultural communities across Colorado. The Regional Assistant Commissioner of Agriculture roles will serve as a key resource and conduit to CDA to support the Department’s goals of community engagement and developing and maintaining trusted relationships with rural communities.

Broomfield, Colo. - Rural Colorado will benefit in a number of significant areas from the Governor’s proposed Colorado State Budget as it drives economic recovery and stimulus. Initiatives in the budget will protect funding for high priority programs and services in rural communities, and support the implementation of a cohesive economic development plan for rural Colorado.
