CDA Summarily Suspends Shelter in Colorado Springs for Failure to Treat and Isolate Sick Dogs

The Colorado Department of Agriculture (CDA), through the Pet Animal Care and Facilities Act (PACFA) program, has summarily suspended the license of, and issued a cease and desist order to New Hope Rescue, Inc., an animal shelter facility in Colorado Springs. These actions require New Hope Rescue to immediately suspend all licensed activities related to the care of pet animals, including adoption, importation, transfer, foster, and any other action typically taken by a shelter or rescue.
