 Producers who sell hay can now submit their listing to the annual Colorado Hay Directory. For more than 26 years, the Hay Directory has helped Colorado hay producers connect with buyers.

“If you’re selling hay, the Hay Directory has a strong record of helping buyers find locally grown animal feed for their needs, ” said Danielle Trotta, senior marketing specialist for the Colorado Department of Agriculture. “The Hay Directory is a great resource for livestock owners in Colorado and beyond.”

2023 Colorado Hay Directory Now Available

Sometimes finding hay is not so cut and dried! Thankfully, the 2023 Colorado Hay Directory is here for livestock owners looking for alfalfa, grass, mix, or other hay products. 

Organized by region, the Hay Directory listings include the type and amount of hay available, bale type and size, whether laboratory analysis is available, certified weed free status, and organic hay certification.

Informing hay buyers for more than 25 years, the 2023 Colorado Hay Directory is now accepting listings from hay producers. The annual publication provides a by-county listing of available hay resources across Colorado. 

FDA Issues Advisory Warning About Recalled Alfalfa Following Equine Deaths Linked to Feed

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the Colorado Department of Agriculture (CDA) are cautioning horse owners not to feed Top of the Rockies alfalfa cubes with the date codes 111222, 111322, 111422, 111522, and 111622. Consumers who have products marked with those date codes or who are unsure of the date code should throw them away in a secure container and follow the handling and cleaning instructions below.
