Colorado Strengthens Ties with Mexico, Champions Women Entrepreneurs and Cattlewomen in Joint Mission Led by OEDIT and Department of Agriculture

The State of Colorado, led by the Global Business Development division of the Colorado Office of Economic Development and International Trade (OEDIT) and the Colorado Department of Agriculture (CDA), hosted a joint two-day mission to Mexico City, which wrapped up today. This strategic engagement celebrates the strong relationship between Colorado and Mexico in business and agriculture, elevating women business owners, cattlewomen, entrepreneurs, and fund managers while highlighting Colorado's position as a leading state for women founders.

Methane Day To Bring Together Ranchers to Discuss Livestock Methane Emission Reduction Strategies and Barriers 

The Colorado Department of Agriculture and Colorado State University's AgNext invite ranchers, dairymen, livestock producers, and agricultural groups to Methane Day, a workshop to discuss opportunities and barriers of reducing methane emissions. Methane Day’s goal is to bring together agricultural voices, learn about current technologies, and discuss hurdles to methane reduction. 

Todd Inglee Announced as Next Brand Commissioner

Commissioner of Agriculture Kate Greenberg and the State Board of Stock Inspection Commissioners (Brand Board) have announced that Todd Inglee will take on the role of Brand Commissioner for the Colorado Department of Agriculture’s Brand Inspection Division starting February 5, 2024.

Broomfield, Colo. - Since the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) began offering the option of no-cost Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) livestock ear tags in early 2020, the state veterinarian’s office has dispensed 59,120 tags across Colorado.
