The Pesticide Advisory Committee (PAC) was created under section 35-10-125, C.R.S., of the Pesticide Applicators Act (PAA), to assist the commissioner in promulgating rules and regulations to carry out the provisions of the PAA.
The committee consists of fifteen members representing: pesticide formulators, commercial applicators from the agricultural, ornamental, and structural industries, limited commercial applicators, public applicators, Colorado State University, two members from the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment, an agricultural worker, an organic agricultural producer, a member of a state or national beekeeping association and the general public (one of whom is actively engaged in urban-agricultural production).
All members of the advisory committee, with the exception of the formulator, must be residents of the State of Colorado and each member serves on the committee for a term of three years.

Pesticide Advisory Committee is currently accepting nominations.
The committee member term is a three-year appointment, for the purpose of advising and helping the Commissioner of Agriculture in the promulgation of Rules that affect the regulated industry.
The PAC is accepting nominations for the following positions:
- Registered Limited Commercial Applicator Representative, defined as: A qualified supervisor, employed by a limited commercial applicator registered under this article, who is actively engaged in the application of pesticides;
- General Public - Urban Agriculture Representative, defined as: A representative from the general public who is actively engaged in urban agricultural production;
- Agricultural Worker Representative, defined as: A representative from the agricultural sector who is a worker, as that term is defined in 40 CFR 170.3;
If you or anyone you know is interested in serving on the Committee, please submit brief biographies of those individuals you recommend along with a filled out nomination form to John Scott, Pesticide Section Chief, by June 1, 2022.
