CDA's Climate Smart Market Expansion Project is a competitive grant award supporting pilot projects that facilitate expanding the marketplace for climate smart commodities and products.
The Climate Smart Markets Program was created to support the development of markets to increase sales and generate premiums for agricultural commodities and products that are grown using practices responsive to Colorado’s increasing climatic challenges.
The goal of these awards is to incentivize innovation and development of climate smart market opportunities by removing the risk of entry and start-up.
The Spring 2025 application window is now closed.

Colorado Climate Smart Showcase at Newtopia Now
CDA's Colorado Climate Smart Showcase is excited for local brands at Newtopia Now.
Brands that source ingredients grown using climate smart practices in Colorado can showcase their products at Newtopia Now, taking place August 20-22, 2025, in Denver. This event is designed to foster meaningful connections between brands, buyers and industry leaders to create a more responsible and regenerative marketplace.
A limited number of Colorado climate smart brands who applied before the deadline of May 2 were selected and will have a majority of exhibition costs for their attendance covered. If you are a climate smart producer interested in learning about market opportunities, contact Susan Enfield, Climate Smart Markets Program Manager at susan.enfield@state.co.us.
