New Funding Opportunity for Climate Smart Market Expansion Project

The Colorado Department of Agriculture's Markets Division is now accepting proposals for the Climate Smart Market Expansion Project. These competitive awards will support pilot projects that facilitate expanding the marketplace for climate smart commodities and products. 

The Climate Smart Markets Program was created to support the development of markets to increase sales and generate premiums for agricultural commodities and products that are grown using practices responsive to Colorado’s increasing climatic challenges. 

The goal of these awards is to incentivize innovation and development of climate smart market opportunities by removing the risk of entry and start-up.

Visit the Colorado Vendor Self Service (VSS) website and search for the Documented Quite (DQ) number *2025*0364* to review the DQ documents, deadlines, and full submission instructions.

CDA will host an Optional Virtual Information Session for interested Offerors on March 4, 2025, at 1 p.m. MT. 

The deadline to submit materials is March 17, at 12 p.m. MT. Additional information about the virtual meeting and submission deadline is available on the Colorado VSS website.
