Goats

  1. Certificate of Veterinary Inspection (CVI) issued by an accredited veterinarian within 30 days prior to entry.
    1. CVI exemption: 
      1. Owner-hauler statement: goats shipped directly from the ranch of origin to an approved livestock market, federally approved terminal feedlot, or shipped directly to a federally inspected slaughter facility may move on an owner-hauler statement.
    2. Official Identification must be individually listed on the CVI if required in paragraph 2. 
    3. Official Identifications must be individually listed on the CVI. 
  2. USDA Official Identification: (Scrapie ear tag, 840 RFID tag, or legible tattoo accompanied by registration papers.) 
    1. All sexually intact goats of any age. 
    2. Wethers over 18 months of age.
    3. Identification Exemption:
      1. Feeder kids under 18 months of age shipping directly to a federally inspected slaughter plant or to a federally approved terminal feedlot.
