Colorado Agricultural Value-Added Development Board
About
The Colorado Agricultural Value-Added Development Board (CAVADB) was created within the Colorado Department of Agriculture by the Colorado Agricultural Development Authority Act (CRS 35-75-201, et seq.). The CAVADB is composed of the seven members who are appointed to the Colorado Agricultural Development Authority Board and the Commissioner of Agriculture, who is an ex officio, non-voting member.
This board serves to encourage and promote agricultural business projects. The board has authority to make grants, loans, loan guarantees and equity investments to any person for new or ongoing agricultural projects and research that add value to Colorado agricultural products and aid the economy of rural Colorado communities.
Currently, its focus is on the Advancing Colorado's Renewable Energy (ACRE3) program, which promotes the development of agricultural energy efficiency and renewable energy projects.
