TB Free Zone

  1. Certificate of Veterinary Inspection (CVI) issued by an accredited veterinarian within 30 days prior to entry into Colorado.
    1. UNLESS shipping directly from the ranch of origin to an approved livestock market or shipping directly to a federally inspected slaughter facility.
    2. Official Identification must be individually listed if required in paragraph 2.
  2. USDA Official Identification (840 RFID tags)
    1. All bison 18 months of age or older.
    2. All show or exhibition bison regardless of age. 

TB Modified Accredited Zone (MAZ)

Michigan Counties Affected: Montmorency, Alpena, Alcona, Oscoda.

 

  1. Certificate of Veterinary Inspection (CVI) issued by an accredited veterinarian within 30 days prior to entry into Colorado.
    1. Official Identification must be individually listed on the CVI.
  2. Permit is required prior to entry by calling (303) 869-9130 or by using the Online Permitting System (OPS).
  3. USDA Official Identification required (840 RFID tags)
  4. Negative Tuberculosis Test required for bison 6 months of age or older within 60 days prior to entry into Colorado and must originate from a TB accredited free herd.
    1. Accredited herd number and date of the last whole herd test must be indicated on the CVI. 
    2. Exemption - no TB test is required if moving directly to a federally inspected slaughter facility.
