Nursery Inspection

Nurseries and sod farms are inspected once a year. Colorado Department of Agriculture inspectors check to make sure nursery stock meets minimum standards concerning root ball size, root establishment in containers and plant health.

A certificate of inspection or plant health certificate will be issued stating that the material is apparently free from insect pests and plant diseases. This is a statement reflecting that pests and diseases are not in excess of the amount expected to result from accepted production practices. Inspection fees = $45/hour.
