Colorado Department of Agriculture is seeking input from farmers and ranchers on the agricultural section of the Natural and Working Lands (NWL) Strategic Plan, which is part of the Greenhouse Gas Pollution Reduction Roadmap released in early 2021 as a result of House Bill 19-1261.
“This is another opportunity for ag producers to shape climate policy in Colorado and the Department of Agriculture is actively soliciting feedback from our stakeholders to inform this statewide plan,” said Kristen Boysen, the Drought & Climate Specialist at the Colorado Department of Agriculture. “Two virtual sessions are scheduled to provide opportunities for producers to comment on the current draft of the Natural and Working Lands Strategic Plan, before it is incorporated into the full Public Draft.”
Two webinar sessions have been scheduled to accommodate varying schedules. Both sessions will review the draft of the NWL Strategic Plan, discuss the plan’s goals, and solicit feedback from stakeholders. These sessions build on the feedback received during listening sessions held in November.
The sessions are free and open to the public but you must register to participate.

Members of the public can review the draft section of the NWL Strategic Plan here and use this form to provide feedback. Stakeholders who are unable to attend are also welcome to submit feedback.
