This program has been so successful we are continuing funding! We are offering scholarships to help cover the cost of up to three kiosks per applicant. Scholarships will be awarded on a first-come-first-serve basis, but we are highly encouraging new applicants to apply! This will be a rolling application process until we run out of funding and must include at least a one-to-one match by the applicant. If you would like any more information about this program or have any questions, contact the Grants and Outreach Specialist. We will help design the sign. CDA would like to see kiosks installed at trailheads across the state!
Why Install Boot Brush Kiosks?
Trail users might be carrying invasive species. Shoes, clothing, equipment, and animals can carry the seeds of invasive plants. Everyone needs to do their part by brushing off shoes, clothing, backpacks, hooves, and paws before entering and leaving a new area. Each sign displays the top weeds of concern for the area. Very simple and yet very effective! Let’s spread the word, increase awareness, and install Kiosks in as many places as possible!
With the help of “Play, Clean, Go” the CDA Noxious Weed Program has installed kiosks at the following locations:

- Horsetooth Mountain Open Space - (shown)
- Eagles Nest Open Space
- Hermit Park Open Space
- Rabbit Mountain Open Space
- Hall Ranch Open Space

Ready for Reimbursement?
Submit the Final Report Form and include photos of your installed boot brush kiosk and proof of payments.
